Terms of Use

1. Eligibility and registration

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering as a student or company. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us promptly at hr@vastconnect.co.zw if you suspect unauthorised access.

2. Acceptable conduct

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent vacancy listings or student profiles;
• Harass, discriminate against, or exploit other users;
• Upload malware, spam, or unlawful content;
• Scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with Portal operations;
• Use the Portal for any purpose other than legitimate industrial attachment placement and recruitment.

3. User content

You retain ownership of content you submit (CVs, company descriptions, vacancy posts, etc.). You grant VASTConnect a non-exclusive licence to store, display, and share that content on the Portal for placement and recruitment purposes. You represent that you have the right to submit all content you upload and that it does not infringe third-party rights.

4. No vetting or guarantees

VASTConnect is a listing and connection platform only. We do not verify the identity, qualifications, criminal history, financial standing, or legitimacy of students or companies. We do not conduct background checks, reference checks, or site visits. We do not guarantee placement, employment, internship approval by your institution, or the accuracy of user-submitted information.

5. Scam and fraud warnings

Never pay fees to secure an attachment, interview slot, or placement through this Portal. Legitimate employers on VASTConnect do not charge students placement fees. Be wary of requests for upfront payments, gift cards, or personal financial details outside normal hiring processes. Report suspicious listings or messages to hr@vastconnect.co.zw immediately.

6. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts, remove content, or restrict access at our discretion if we believe you have breached these Terms, posted fraudulent content, or created risk for other users. You may stop using the Portal at any time; provisions that by nature should survive termination (including liability limits and indemnity) will continue to apply.

7. Intellectual property

The Portal design, branding, software, and original content owned by VASTConnect are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute Portal materials without our written permission.

8. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VASTConnect Technology, its officers, employees, and agents from claims, losses, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Portal, your content, your interactions with other users, or your breach of these Terms.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, VASTConnect shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of the Portal, including interactions, agreements, or disputes between students and companies.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Zimbabwe. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Zimbabwe, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Portal after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes may also be communicated via the Portal or registered email where practicable.
